Reinforced Concrete Element Design

Bent rebar of a large reinforcement cage rising from a concrete ring beam, on site at sunset.
We design the concrete elements that support complex industrial equipment, based on the real results of the analysis model.

When it's needed

Does your project match any of these cases?

  • Your equipment (a molten-salt tank, a reactor, a large heat exchanger) needs foundations subject to thermal and mechanical loads that conventional structural analysis doesn't cover.
  • The actions on the concrete come from an FEA model and must be rigorously converted into design forces.
  • The project must be justified per EN 1992-1-1 (Eurocode 2) or ACI 318-25, or both.

What we do

From model stresses to rebar drawings.

We bridge the equipment analysis and the design of the concrete that supports it.

  • Post-processing from stresses to design forces

We convert the stresses from the mechanical model into the classic design forces for concrete structures: axial force, bending moment and shear.

  • Rebar design

Complete design of the reinforcement rebar per EN 1992-1-1 and ACI 318-25, consistent with the equipment's real load conditions.

  • Documentation for construction

Calculation report with all checks and reinforcement, ready for approval and execution.

How we do it

From the FEA model, not from a load estimate.

The starting point is the stress time-histories from the FEA model — not a load estimate. Synapp automates the post-processing into design forces and the code checks, which lets us verify more load cases at higher resolution.

What we deliver

Documentation ready for approval and construction.

  • Design forces derived from the complete mechanical model.
  • Rebar design with checks per EN 1992-1-1 and ACI 318-25.
  • Calculation report suitable for approval and construction execution.

Why Vanguard FSI

Technical rigor, controlled risks and calculation ready for certification.

  • A single problem, not two

Where others treat the fluid and the structure separately, we solve the coupled problem. The mechanical results are based on actual temperature and pressure distributions, not on simplifications.

  • Risks detected at the design stage

We identify the critical points before manufacturing: it saves prototypes, repairs and surprises during commissioning.

  • Calculation ready for certification

We work with Ansys Mechanical and Ansys Fluent and deliver complete and traceable calculation reports, prepared for the certification process the project requires.
