Engineering and simulation of equipment operating at the limit

We design and verify molten salt tanks and equipment subjected to high temperature, pressure and severe thermal cycling. We simulate the fluid and the structure as a single problem, from the calculation model to the construction detail.

Who we are

Every design, engineered to be manufactured and assembled

Vanguard FSI is a design and simulation engineering firm with two decades of experience in the sector, founded in 2006. We have taken part in the design of molten salt tanks for internationally renowned concentrated solar power plants and we work for a global market. Our distinctive trait: every design is conceived with how it will be manufactured and assembled in mind.

Synapp

All the results, in one place

We have developed Synapp, our in-house platform where simulation results converge and are processed: from CFD thermal maps to code-based mechanical calculation, final report included. More resolution, more verifications, more quality for every design.

Why Vanguard FSI

Technical rigor, controlled risks and calculation ready for certification.

  • A single problem, not two

Where others treat the fluid and the structure separately, we solve the coupled problem. The mechanical results are based on actual temperature and pressure distributions, not on simplifications.

  • Risks detected at the design stage

We identify the critical points before manufacturing: it saves prototypes, repairs and surprises during commissioning.

  • Calculation ready for certification

We work with Ansys Mechanical and Ansys Fluent and deliver complete and traceable calculation reports, prepared for the certification process the project requires.
